What entropy level is considered secure?
NIST recommends at least 80 bits of entropy for high-security applications. Passwords with 60+ bits are generally considered fair, while 80+ bits are strong.
How is crack time estimated?
We assume an attacker with a modern GPU cluster making 10 billion guesses per second. The estimated time is the average case (half the total keyspace).
